Movie Description
A secluded farm near a forest is home to a group of troubled men - recovering addicts, former prisoners, and outcasts - seeking their last chance at rehab through prayer, animal tending, and cheese production. The rehab's routine, designed by a former addict, has a healing effect, but relapsing is always a danger. In the winter of 2021, a 14-year-old boy named Matas, victim to lasting childhood trauma, arrives at the farm expecting religion and discipline to benefit him. Parenting Matas brings more pressure, as the men have abandoned their families and his presence evokes bad memories and guilt. The rehab slowly transforms into a dysfunctional family with addiction and trauma at its core.
