Basia is a five year old girl who is quite the character. She lives in the city with her mum, dad, two brothers, her tortoise Kajetan and her trustee friend Teddy the Teddy Bear. Like every five-year old, Basia sometimes stumbles on seemingly big problems which she has to deal with. She learns that sometimes the most difficult questions can have very simple answers. Basia likes books and inventing new games. She isn’t always well behaved but it’s impossible not to like her. “Basia” is a story about the real adventures of a real little girl.
Ignas Meilūnas is an animation director and producer from Vilnius. Having tried most animation techniques, Ignas specialises in stop-frame animation and mostly makes short films for young audiences. His films have received awards at major international film festivals and two national Lithuanian film awards.
Marcin Wasilewski and Łukasz Kacprowicz are the Polish directors and creative producers. In 2004, they co-founded GS Animation with producer Robert Jaszczurowski.
