In HOWL TOWN, inhabited by all kinds of animals, there is a cosy cafe called ‘BUNS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY’. The cafe is run by a large and neighbourly squirrel family. The squirrels’ eldest daughter FRIDA loves to hang out at the family cafe with her besties BEN and FREDDIE. All three of them are classmates and partners in crime experiencing a never-ending awkwardness of social life. Dealing with casual relationship situations, the friends learn the importance of tolerance, acceptance and compassion. Any trouble can be turned into an adventure with BFF!

Urtė Oettinger, a distinguished animation film director, animator, and lecturer, is a graduate of the Estonian Academy of Arts. Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Urtė has twice been honored with the title of Best Animation Film of the Year by the Lithuanian Film Academy. Her creative endeavors are marked by a spirit of experimentation, where she explores a diverse range of animation techniques and styles. As a testament to her standing in the field, Urtė is an esteemed member of both the Lithuanian Film Academy and the Danish Animation Union.
