"The Boy and the Sea” is a dialogue-free film about the wall of silence between a father and son, about a childhood that passes by and the words that remain unspoken and unheard. It’s a story about emotional distance after loss, about missed moments, and about a boat that sails away when it is already too late to talk.

Meinardas has been interested in and created animation since childhood. In 2010, he graduated from the “Vilnius Academy of Arts” with a bachelor's degree in animation. In 2012, he founded the animation studio "Meinart", whose vision is to create bright and original creative animation in search of new forms of storytelling. Meinardas aims to invest part of the company's profits in making animated films. Guided by this goal, he created several animated films as a director and producer, such as "Hunt", "Look!" and "The Perfect Fit” (that can be found on “Dinsey+”). He produced "Tahlequah the Whale: A Dance of Grief” and “anyone lived in a pretty how town”. In 2023, he directed and made the most significant full-length animated film in Lithuania - "Nelly Jelly: My Film". Meinardas has been nominated twice for the "Silver Crane" National Film Award for a best-animated film. Currently, he is working as a producer on the short animated films “TEN”, “DEADLINE". He is directing his short “The Boy and the Sea”, Co-Directing animated series “Hell Corporation” and his second full-length animated film, "The House That Ran Away".
