Chodakowski Sisters. Lithuanian Case is the story of two bright women who left a mark in the history of interwar Lithuania. The sisters Sofia and Jadwiga Chodakowski, descendants of the Polish nobility, were the wives of President Antanas Smetona and Prime Minister Juozas Tūbelis and devoted their lives to the project of the First Republic, often taking the liberty to correct political mistakes of their husbands. Influence exerted by the sisters on the social and political lives of the country‘s elites is indisputable.
