It is so damn hard to be an adult. It’s especially hard to be an adult when you’re only a teenager. Teenage girl Danute is the only “adult” in her family. Obviously, this is too difficult a task for a teenager. She faces external limitations to her capabilities every day. Such a child measures everything in terms of survival and takes responsibility as a means of getting through.

Dovile Gasiunaite studied acting at the Lithuanian Music Academy and film directing in an international class at FAMU in Prague. She has made several short films and worked as a casting director for various Lithuanian films. Since 2003, she has attended the North by Northwest film production courses as well as the Ateliers d’Angers Master Classes led by Jeanne Moreau. Her first feature film is Narcissus, and her second feature film is Danka.
