Having experienced the loss of his murdered brother, director Audrius Mickevičius goes to the Lukiškės prison to examine the paradox of “exemplary behaviour”. Mickevičius meets Rimas and Rolandas who have been sentenced to life in prison, but have hope that things could change for them. Mickevičius himself experiences a journey from anger to forgiveness, which is interrupted by his terminal illness.
Exemplary Behaviour, completed by its script editor Nerijus Milerius, explores the ideas of forgiveness and social justice.
