Eleven-year-old Luka feels very lonely after the loss of her father. She rebels against her mother, who is constantly busy at work and devotes too little time to her daughter. Luka tries to create her own "family" - she takes care of six-year-old Rokas and the neighbor's borrowed dog Bulka. These are Luka's only friends. Luka avoids the yard children, because their games seem too rough to Luka. She sees a lot of injustice in her environment and fights against it. While saving Rokas, she finds herself in underground tunnels, where she gets lost and experiences real danger. Luka realizes that she needs to let Rokas go for a new life. Luka reconciles with her mother and realizes that changing the world starts with herself.
