"I want to be human" is an observational documentary, the basis of which consists of monitoring the existence, lifestyle, adventures, changes, and socialization into society of inmates at Pravieniskiai Correctional Facility, including convicted individuals, alcoholics, drug addicts, murderers, drug dealers, and thieves. These are several convicts aged 25-60 years old, all of whom have been convicted more than once and have found themselves at the very bottom of society.
Rinaldas Tomaševičius is an up-and-coming film director and screenwriter. Before embarking on a career in film directing, he himself experienced homelessness. Only 11 years ago, he managed to escape from this challenging situation. This experience serves as the main inspiration for his films. Rinaldas is mostly concerned with themes of persons who don't conform to social norms. He is trying to help the border people to integrate into society, personally supports them by volunteering for many years in various organizations that help former prisoners and drug addicts. In 2022 R. Tomasevicius obtained a BA degree in film directing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and MA degree in 2024
