Movie Description
A film, inspired by Vincas Giedra‘s novel “Fling the stone, David”, tells about Lithuania after World War II. Pliauga’s family farm is also home to 18-year-old Untė. During the day, the farm is run by soviet collaborants and partisans appear at night. Father Pliauga takes care of partisans as best he can while Untė works as a liaison for the “forest brothers”. One day, after noticing a surge of Soviet forces in the town, the Unte rushes off to report to the partisans who are temporarily based in the nearby forest surrounded by swamps. Men suspect betrayal and realise it is time for them to retreat.
