Screenwriter Martyna the first-time mother, in her 30s, stops her career for maternity leave, but when a producer takes an interest in her idea, she tries to manage both: the first-time motherhood and her profession dream to become a director. With her hands 24/7 full with a baby she is trying to work at night, also hoping for help from her own mother. The screenwriter feels desperate because she can not rely on her mother for help as she is struggling with her own diagnosis.
Lina Mickutė's passion for films and documentaries led her from Advertising studies to the film industry, starting with a TV ad role. She worked as a make-up department coordinator for HBO's Chernobyl and Catherine the Great. Lina debuted as a producer at the Odisėja 72 festival, winning Best Production for R. Pranaitis's film Lucky Passenger. She has authored four children's biographical books and now works as a producer at Wide Wings video production agency. In 2021, Lina left for maternity leave, during which she wrote and is now preparing to direct her short film “Materninty Leave”.
