Movie Description

Rūta is a compelling story about one of Lithuania‘s most accomplished athletes, the swimmer Rūta Meilutytė, her career developments and personal life. The documentary follows the swimmer’s complicated childhood and her rise to fame, from her first strokes in a swimming pool to winning Olympic gold and beyond. It is a story of a fifteen-year-old girl who becomes an international star overnight, not yet realising how this will affect her life.
