A multidisciplinary study, launched by the Lithuanian Free Market Institute, has reignited scientific interest in scarcity. Drawing on the results of the study, Sublime Thirst traces the emergence of the concept and its evolution from the times of Ancient Greece to the present day. At the same time, the film looks at how scarcity is still a relevant concept in the present times of seeming abundance.
