Simon Jashi, a 40-year-old writer, arrives in Guria, native homeland of his favorite writer Egnate Ninoshvili, intending to write a book about him. He is also interested in exploring the reasons behind the notorious murder that took place a year before. In this seemingly forsaken place, he becomes entangled in a web of unusual stories and what began as a trip through Ninoshvili’s homeland becomes a profound journey of self-discovery for Simon. His life then takes an unexpected turn once more, as he begins to see his estranged wife, whom he had previously assaulted, in an entirely new light.
