Nerijus Milerius is a Lithuanian philosopher, Professor at Vilnius University, and film director. Born in 1971 in Vilnius, he earned his MA in philosophy from Vilnius University in 1995, completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies at Paris-Est Créteil University in 1999, and received his PhD in philosophy from Vilnius University in 2001. Since then, he has been teaching courses on film philosophy, aesthetics, and cultural philosophy at Vilnius University. Milerius’s research focuses on everyday life theory, urban studies, visual culture, and the philosophy of film. He has co-directed the feature documentary Exemplary Behaviour along with A. Mickevičius, feature documentary Life After Death and film Jōhatsu with Lina Lūžytė, marking his debut in fiction filmmaking.
