Movie Description
The film tells the story of an apartment in Vilnius, on Tauro Street, in the so called professors’ house, a place that is now a memorial museum of the famous twentieth-century Lithuanian writer Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas. For two decades, between 1947 and 1967, it was the writer’s home. Through the writer’s biography and works, the film shows the life of intellectuals in Soviet-occupied Lithuania. For the first time, the role of the writer’s wife Emilija in the household is considered in great detail – the family lived with a nephew and a niece and frequently hosted other relatives.
